Waxwork 2: Lost in Time Movie Review
Sequel to the ostensibly non-sf Waxwork, in which monsters in an infamous waxworks museum turned out to be real. On trial for the fiends’ crimes, a heroic young couple must travel through a bizarre time machine and enter other universes ("God's Nintendo game") where horror and sci-fi movie characters actually do exist. It's a pretext to recreate scenes from past genre flicks, from the gothic horror of Frankenstein to the high-tech gore of Alien, and it all hangs together like an explosion in a cliche factory. An end title boasts “Filmed entirely in the fourth dimension.”
