Wavelength Movie Review

Predating all the ‘Alien Autopsy’ tomfoolery by a good decade, this has rocker Robert Carra-dine's psychic girlfriend picking up hypersonic distress signals – sounds like whales – from childlike aliens, recovered from a UFO crash site and kept on ice in a secret government base beneath the Hollywood hills (script takes pains to make that geographic novelty quite plausible). Fun, enthusiastically cheap sci fi. Compare the ending of this with Starman … separated at birth? Soundtrack by Tangerine Dream.

1983 (PG) 87m/C Robert Carradine, Cherie Currie, Keenan Wynn; D: Mike Gray; W: Mike Gray; M: Tangerine Dream. VHS, Beta, LV SUE, VTR
