Species Movie Review

If the outline for a really good episode of Fox TV's The X-Files fell into the wrong hands, the result might have been this crazed chase adventure. At heart, it's a B science fiction flick that's been pumped up with a classy cast, gobs of gore, and lots of morphing effects. The plot revolves around a hot-to-trot blonde babe (model Natasha Henstridge in her debut) who's also a murderous alien monster. Ben Kingsley leads the team that's trying to kill her. For fans, there are lots of laughs, intentional and un-, and some undeniably enjoyable cheap thrills.
