Spaceship Movie Review

Attempted Airplane-style sci-fi spoof that only works in fits and starts. Leslie Nielsen (before he got his comic timing down pat in the Naked Gun series) commands a spacecraft that picks up a silly alien – it looks like a load of glop with a single Cyclopean eye-stalk on top – that starts eating the crew. Special f/x are flagrantly cheap. Goofiest scenes are song-and-dance numbers and excerpts from Japanese monster flicks edited in. AKA: The Creature Wasn't Nice; Naked Space.
