Split Movie Review
A vagrant named Starker changes his identity repeatedly to elude detection by the all-seeing “Company Director,” who in the course of the narrative replaces his body with cybernetic components and ends up looking like Marvel Comics’ Silver Surfer. Way-out surreal tale lends itself to various interpretations, but debuting director Chris Shaw keeps things moving and mildly satirical in tone, interspersing his puzzlers with computer graphics that compensate in creativity for what the pic lacks in budget. Cult discovery awaits.
