The Monolith Monsters Movie Review
Despite the title and goofy premise (killer rocks), this is one of the more enjoyable ‘50s B-movies. A meteor, described by the orotund narrator as “another strange calling card from the limitless reaches of space,” is the source. Geologist Grant Williams discovers strange crystals that absorb silicon from people and objects, killing the humans and growing to towering heights in the process. The effects aren't bad and the plot is so inventively put together that the film is fun all the way through.
