Monster a Go-Go! Movie Review

A team of go-go dancers battle a ten-foot monster from outer space who's actually a mutated astronaut. Herschell Gordon Lewis, director of Blood Feast and other timeless trash/gore movies, acquired this flick (then titled Terror at Halfday) in an unfinished state, threw in a couple of new scenes, and released it as a co-feature with his hillbilly movie Moonshine Mountain. That may seem like an unlikely combo, but hey, monsters and hillbilly music were a big draw in the ‘60s (see Lee Frost's 1961 girly/monster epic House on Bare Mountain for a perfect example). The fellow who played the Frankenstein-looking monster was a genuine giant. Too bad he couldn't dance.
