Lawnmower Man 2: Jobe's War Movie Review

Since just about everything and everyone had been blown up at end of the first film, this one's less a sequel than a cinematic videogame. As such, it's a good sf adventure for teen audiences with a quick pace and whiz-bang computer effects. In all other respects, it's not nearly interesting as the original. Corporate baddie Walker (Kevin Conway) enlists Jobe to (what else?) take over the world using virtual reality. To the rescue come one burned-out computer expert (Patrick Bergin) and a group of VR-addicted kids living in an abandoned subway. Techno-babble abounds but nothing interesting ever happens. AKA: Lawnmover Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace.
