The Lawnmower Man Movie Review

Scientist Pierce Brosnan uses a dim-witted gardener named Jobe (Jeff Fahey, in a fright wig) to test his virtual-reality computer techniques for enhancing intelligence. He's able to increase Jobe's mental powers beyond human measure, and not necessarily for the better, as the simple groundsman becomes a wrathful superbeing. So minimally based on a non-sf short story by Stephen King that the author successfully sued to remove his precious name from the credits. Instead this is the premise of Charly crossbred with tired Frankenstein cliches and pumped up with trendy computer graphics f/x (including a memorable cybersex scene). Available in an unrated version with additional footage.
