Lifelines: A Career Profile Study Movie Review 1977

Dr. Edgar Schein of the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology discusses some the results of his research studies in career formation. Dr. Schein explains that each of us has a "career lifeline"-a path that directs our choice of work. With illustrations from three actual cases, Dr. Schein's concept of "career anchors"-patterns by which people discover what they are good at and what they would like to do for the rest of their lives is examined.
