Oskar Schindler was a black marketeer and Nazi Party member who is credited with saving the lives of 1,000 Jews from the concentration camps, though his flamboyant character offered no precise reason for his heroics. Compilation of pictures from German archives and testimony of Jewish survivors as well as interviews with Schindler's widow Emile and Ruth Kalder, the mistress of Nazi camp commander Amon Goeth.
