Shockingly original pic sets Elvis impersonators in Vegas, only these Presleys wanna rob, not rock. Ex-cellmates Russell and Costner are the lead Kings, Michael and Murphy, who team up with Arquette, Slater, and Woodbine, and head to the quaint desert burg to relieve its wagering establishments of some extra cash. After a strong opening segment, only moments of comic relief are scattered throughout, highlighted by the Elvii strutting through town in a "Reservoir Dogs" homage. Gratuitous violence and cliched action doesn't help movie's one-note appeal but the look is slick and the boys drive cool cars.
