The most unlikely critical darling of the summer of 1999 caught everyone's attention with it's MPAA-baiting language and sexual subject matter, and made audiences laugh--a lot--along the way. Stan, Kenny, Cartman, and Kyle sneak into an R-rated movie and shock their families with what they learn. So, concerned South Park parents form a censorship board to take on Canada (which results in a war, with enough bloody violence to make Sam Peckinpah sick, but didn't faze the MPAA), and the kids decide to fight back. Like most TV shows adapted for the big screen, this one flags at times, but has enough inspired comic moments to (mostly) justify the hype. The easily offended should definitely pass.
