Universal Soldier Movie Review

A reporter (Ally Walker) discovers a secret government project to design perfect robo-soldiers by using the bodies of dead Gls, including tough guys Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme who were killed in Vietnam. But the knowledge is going to get her killed until Van Damme has flashbacks of his past (the soldier's memories have supposedly been erased) and agrees to help her. Lundgren, not quite cured of the psychosis he had when alive, doesn't have the same compassion and goes after them both. Big-budget thriller with some good action sequences and a lot of violence. Lundgren (Masters of the Universe) is surprisingly good in a few over-the-top scenes. Roland Emmerich took his taste for science fiction even further with Stargate and Independence Day.
