Scanners 2: The New Order Movie Review
Non-Cronenberg sequel to the 1981 cult classic finds police out to build an effective crime-fighting unit out of the Scanners, but one power-mad official is using the enslaved mutants in his own underground psychic militia. Not as visceral as the first film, but a stronger storyline and special effects make it an agreeable followup, with sympathy quotient for the Scanners actually outstripping the grossout stuff.
