Saturn 3 Movie Review

Funnier than Spaceballs, but this is no joke. Stanley Donen – yes, the Singin’ in the Rain, An American in Paris Stanley Donen – directed this nearly incomprehensible black hole of a movie set on the Planet of Cheap Special Effects, where Farrah Fawcett and Kirk Douglas operate an experimental space station (“When they want to give the solar system an enema,” goes the joke, “that's where they stick the tube in”). They are visited by Harvey Keitel, whose voice has been dubbed to make him sound like George Sanders. But he's still the same old psycho we know and love here on Earth. Farrah is easily upstaged by Hector, Keitel's killer robot, which develops the hots for her.
