Return of the Fly Movie Review

Slightly lame sequel to the 1958 classic The Fly finds Vincent Price reprising his role as the brother of the doomed inventor in the first film. Better take this one as an almost-comedy, especially once you get a load of the much larger fly-head designed for the Fly's son Philippe (Brett Halsey) to wear. This time around it's the meddling assistant David Frankham who screws things up, causing the teleported one to become part-man part-fly. The film lacks continuity, and despite Price, lacks the charm of the original. The next sequel, The Curse of the Fly, had to wait to 1965 to be made.

1959 80m/B Vincent Price, Brett Halsey, John Sutton, Dan Seymour, David Frankham; D: Edward L. Bernds. VHS, Beta, LV FOX, FCT
