Return of the Aliens: The Deadly Spawn Movie Review

Organisms from a meteorite multiply and spread through a small town in the form of toothy tadpoles who grow…and grow. A handful of resourceful young folks (nice to see screen teens smart enough to debate about Velikovsky) notice the threat, but too late to prevent their parents from getting limbs and faces chewed off, in truly loathsome gore scenes. If you can stomach the disgusting stuff, this is an example of a genre pic done well on a 16mm budget. Retitling of The Deadly Spawn as its own sequel (!) has caused viewer confusion, abetted by spurious rumors that this is part 2 to Charles Band's Parasite. AKA: The Deadly Spawn.
