Return of Chandu Movie Review

This film, which combines the 12-chapter serial, features Bela Lugosi as Chandu, a heroic sorcerer who uses his occult powers to conquer a religious sect of cat worshipers on the island of Lemuria. In the process, he fights to save the Princess Nadji, makes himself invisible, and performs all the other actions appropriate to a magician hero. Classic thrills from a past master. Chandu on Magic Island incorporated chapters five through 12 into a feature-length movie. Lugosi played arch-villain Roxnor in the inferior 1933 Chandu the Magician.
