Neon City Movie Review

Critics keep repeating the inaccurate dictum that sci-fi movies merely reinvent the western. That generalization only really applies to the subgenre of Mad Max/Road Warrior imitations like this Canadian post-apocalypse actioner clearly patterned after John Ford's Stagecoach, set in the year 2053. Eight travelers in an armored transport truck seek safety from the Earth's toxic environment via an overland trek to the title settlement. Mutants and highway bandits take the place of the traditional marauding Indians.
