King Dinosaur Movie Review

There's a new planet in the solar system! It's called Nova, and it's full of really big lizards. A scientific expedition zips up to check out the action on Nova and gets chased by one of the lizards and (just for good measure) a giant armadillo. Director Bert I. Gordon really liked giant things (check out his initials). He did giant grasshoppers, giant rats, even a giant man, but a giant armadillo was definitely a cinematic first. There are some mushy love-scenes for the girls (who, as we all know, aren't that big on armadillos), a narrator to help us keep things straight, and even an atom bomb to round things out. In case you don't get the message, Gordon's is one of the more audacious ‘50s monster-fests.
