Jabberwocky Movie Review

Pythonesque chaos prevails in the cartoonish medieval kingdom of King Bruno the Questionable, who rules with cruelty and stupidity. Jabberwocky is a dragon who threatens the kingdom's questionable peace until hero Michael Palin decides to take it on. Not one of Terry Gilliam's better films, it usually resembles a misguided effort to duplicate the medieval comedy of Holy Grail. Still, Eric Idle and Michael Palin's presence helps a little, and there are some genuinely funny moments.

1977 (PG) 104m/C GB Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Max Wall, Deborah Fallender, Terry Jones, John Le Mesurier; D: Terry Gilliam; W: Terry Gilliam. VHS, Beta, LV COL
