Ice Pirates Movie Review

Space pirates in the far future steal blocks of ice to fill the needs of a thirsty galaxy. With its cast of goofy characters and crazy situations, this is nearly the Airplane of space operas. Time warping finale may have taken things too far – then again maybe not. Much funnier than Mel Brooks’ Spaceballs. Director Stewart Raffill may have peaked in 1984, making this film and the surprisingly charming The Philadelphia Experiment.
