Hell Comes to Frogtown Movie Review
When you're running with the Mad Max ripoff pack you need gimmicks to stand out, and this sure has a few. In post-nuclear holocaust land, hostile mutant frog people abduct some precious, fertile human women. Sam Hell (thesped by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, of pro wrestling fame), being one of the few fertile males left, is a government-sanctioned stud and must rescue the ladies to impregnate them. Fitfully fun sci-fi spoof has some good frog getups despite the extreme low-budget. Sorry guys, sex and sleaze are mainly just talk. Filmmaker Donald G. Jackson did the even sillier post-nuke cheapie Roller Blade, as well as an unfortunate Frogtown sequel.
