Galaxis Movie Review

In a Star Wars opening, space tyrant Kila (Richard Moll) wipes out a planetful of rebels and seizes their magic crystal. A second crystal is hidden on present-day Earth and Kyla time-warps here after it. The physically impressive Brigitte Nielsen stars as freedom fighter Ladera, who beams down to battle the hammy villain. Derivative and joyless, it's an example of what happens when an f/x expert (William Mesa, who worked on Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness) turns director and gives visuals top priority. Even they're not so hot.
