Galaxina Movie Review

This well-meaning but ultimately rather dull sf flick features Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten as Galaxina, a beautiful androidette capable of human feelings. The film features parodies of Alien and Star Wars, which today gives it a rather dated feel. Avery Schreiber is always fun to watch, though (here portraying Capt. Butt, which gives you a good idea of the humor), and Stratten looks terrific in her space-suit. Sadly, Stratten was murdered the day of the film's premiere.

1980 (R) 95m/C Dorothy Stratten, Avery Schreiber, Stephen Macht, James David Hilton; D: William Sachs; W: William Sachs; C: Dean Cundey. VHS, Beta, LV MCA
