Firestarter Movie Review

Don't make her angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry. A C.I.A.-like organization is after a little girl who has the ability to set anything on fire with her mind, courtesy of Mom and Dad's participation in a drug study while in college. Future vixen Drew Barrymore steps outside E.T.’s shadow with solid work in the title role. George C. Scott is eminently creepy as a tracker who has mysterious reasons for finding her. Script faithfully follows Stephen King away from the horror and gore and onto the road with what, until the last twenty minutes, is basically a chase movie. If you like seeing things blow up, good special effects help a silly plot.
