Buck Rogers Conquers the Universe Movie Review

The character of Buck Rogers originated in the 1928 Philip Francis Nowlan novel Armageddon 2419 A.D.; Nowlan helped adapt it into the first sf newspaper comic strip. Buck was also the first science-fiction story done in the modern super-hero space genre. Many of the “inventions” seen in this movie have actually come into existence – spaceships, ray guns (lasers), anti-gravity belts – a testament to Nolan's almost psychic farsightedness.
