Battle Beyond the Sun Movie Review

Francis Ford Coppola was just out of UCLA film school when he was hired as an assistant for $90 a week by Roger Corman. His first assignment was to Americanize (under the pseudonym “Thomas Colchart”) what was a blatantly partisan Russian science-fiction adventure called Niebo Zowiet. Coppola re-edited, wrote, and re-dubbed English dialogue. The story now takes place on Earth which is divided into two countries, North and South Hemis. One of Coppola's most provocative inserts is a fight between two anatomically correct monsters, one male and the other female.
