Battle Beyond the Stars Movie Review

The sf comic book version of The Magnificent Seven appeals to the 10-year-old in all of us. Why not? It's a grand plot, and writer John Sayles does his usual innovative work with the material. Richard Thomas is the callow youth who recruits a disreputable gang of adventurers to protect his backwater planet from marauding intergalactic outlaws. The best bits are a sassy spaceship named Nell and Sybil Danning as a sexy Valkyrie in a minimal costume.
