The Bamboo Saucer Movie Review

Roswell mania has given this relic added interest, but only slightly. After buzzing the USA, a flying disk lands near a village in Maoist China and its (never seen) humanoids perish from Earth germs. Russian and American scientists form an uneasy alliance to secretly investigate the craft. Special f/x and a space odyssey finale are ambitious for the era, but most of the narrative is talky and static, pushing a Cold War moral typical for the period: Soviets and Americans must learn brotherhood and cooperation – to crush the Red Chinese. Based on the novel Flight of the Bamboo Saucer by Gordon Fritz. AKA: Collision Course.
