Bad Taste Movie Review

Before Peter Jackson made the critically acclaimed gem Heavenly Creatures, before he took muppetry out of the kids’ room (Meet the Feebles), and before he got the government of New Zealand to fund his crowd-pleasing gore-comedy Dead Alive, he wrote, directed, and starred in this sick little tale of alien fast-food manufacturers, here on Earth harvesting and processing human munchies. The fate of the world lies in the hands (and chainsaws) of a team of government-type guys trying to stop the rampant gobbling. As one would expect from Jackson, the splatter is fast, funny, and extreme. From the head-cleaving-shovel beginning to the final-alien-chainsaw solution, this ultra-juicy horror-laughfest doesn't stop. The alien on the original VHS packaging came with a removable middle finger so video store owners could choose to flip off or on.
