Automatic Movie Review

Following his directive to protect and preserve human life, a RobGen “Automatic"-model android Olivier Gruner stops a rape-in-progress of employee Daphne Ashbrook, and adequately kills the scumball exec while doing so. Company head John Glover could care less about the near-rape, or the death, but doesn't want the news of a possible “renegade” android leaking out. The solution – KILL THEM BOTH. Easily excited cool-wanna-be mercenary Jeff Kober and crew are called in, leading to explosions, shootings, and chops (karate) galore. Plenty of action but nowhere near the style of Gruner's Woo-ish Nemesis.

1994 (R) 90m/C Olivier Gruner, Daphne Ashbrook, John Glover, Jeff Kober, Dennis Lipscomb; D: John Murlowski; W: Susan Lambert, Patrick Highsmith. VHS, LV REP
