Attack of the Giant Leeches Movie Review

Typically cheapo Roger Corman monster movie about giant leeches in a murky swamp who suddenly develop a taste for human flesh. A disturbed bartender becomes sympathetic to the leeches’ cause when he discovers his wife necking with her lover; he forces them into the murk at gunpoint, much to the leeches’ joy. Sometimes tedious, sometimes surprisingly chilling, always low budget and slimy. Although the special effects are fairly crappy (in the tradition of Corman's earlier Attack of the Crab Monsters, the “leech” costumes don't quite fit the poor actors), this might be a good choice for a late-night scare/laugh. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the swamp…. AKA: The Giant Leeches; Demons of the Swamp.
