Piano Legends Movie Review 1987

This is a lively history of jazz piano, traced through film clips of 23 keyboard greats, ranging stylistically from Willie "The Lion" Smith to Cecil Taylor. Most of the footage comes from the collection of jazz film historian David Chertok, with some material in black and white.
