Three jazz shorts are presented on this tape: "St. Louis Blues" (1929), the only film appearance of blues singer Bessie Smith; "Bye Bye Blackbird" (1932), starring Nina Mae McKinney and the dancing Nicholas Brothers with Eubie Blake and His Orchestra; and "Boogie Woogie Dream" (1941), featuring a youthful Lena Horne, boogie woogie pianists Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson, and Teddy Wilson's Band.
