A married American war correspondent and a beautiful Eurasian doctor fall in love in post-WWII Hong Kong. They struggle with racism and unhappiness, until he's sent to Korea to observe the Army's activities there. Based on the novel by Han Suyin. The extensive L.A. Asian acting community got some work out of this film, although the leads are played by Caucasians. Oscar-winning song was a very big popular hit.
