The Jewel in the Crown Movie Review 1984

Epic saga of the last years of British rule in India from 1942-47 concentrating on a controversial love affair between the Indian Hari Kumar and the English Daphne Manners, which profoundly affects the lives of many. Based on "The Raj Quartet" by Paul Scott. Originally shown on British TV, it aired in the U.S. on the PBS series "Masterpiece Theatre." An excellent miniseries that was shown in 14 segments.
