Teenaged Dot (Tushingham) marries mechanic Reggie (Campbell) and soon both begin to look beyond the boundaries of marriage. Dot enjoys her freedom from parental supervision by staying out and coming home drunk while Reggie takes up his friendship with biker pal, Pete (Sutton). Then Dot begins wondering just how close her husband and his best pal really are. Considered very controversial in the '60s, but looks staid now.
