Excellent mythic western in which the Jesse James and Cole Younger gangs raid banks, trains, and stagecoaches in post-Civil War Missouri. Stylish, meticulous and a violent look back, with one of the better slow-motion shootouts in Hollywood history. Notable for the portrayal of four sets of outlaw brothers (James, Younger, Miller, Ford) by four Hollywood brother (Keach, Carradine, Quaid, Guest) sets. Complimented by excellent Cooder score.
