Great Battles Film Festival Movie Review 1984

This program presents four films of the major battles in WWII. In "World at War" rare captured footage of the Japanese bombing of Manchuria and the battle of Warsaw, two battles that led to WWII. U.S. carriers launch a massive asualt of the Japanese fleet in the defense of Midway Island in "Battle of Midway." The battle for Palau is documented in "Fury in the Pacific." A tribute to the foot soldier in the Liri valley of Italy in "Battle of San Pietro."
