Tragedy occurs when northern Irish patriots and British soldiers clash in an Irish betting parlor. Kidder plays a duel role: an Irish woman in love with a British soldier (Foster) and the woman's twin sister, newly arrived from Canada, who becomes the victim of a case of mistaken identity. Convincingly adapted from a Canadian stage play by Andrew Dalrymple.
