An inventive, perversely witty portrait of sick modern urbanity, following the adventures of punk stock boy Otto (Estevez), who takes a job as a car repossessor under the jaundiced eye of veteran Bud (Stanton). Then there's the lobotomized physicist Parnell (Harris), who carries around a strang glowing object in the trunk of his car that's wanted by the government. The L.A. landscape is filled with pointless violence, no-frills packaging, media hypnosis, and aliens. Executive producer: none other than ex-Monkee Michael Nesmith.
