Gold Movie Review 1934

An early, rarely seen sound German sci-fi epic. Kayssler and his assistant develop a reactor that can turn lead into gold. Although they are offered a handsome sum for their technology, they resist the temptation. Beautifully photographed. The U.S. government had nuclear experts take a good look at the movie, as they feared that perhaps Germany really did have nuclear technology. In German with no English translation.
