Nicholas and Alexandra Movie Review 1971

Epic chronicling the final years of Tsar Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra, and their children. Their lavish royal lifestyle gives way to imprisonment and eventual execution under the new Lenin government. Beautiful, but overlong costume epic that loses steam in the second half. Based on the biography by Robert Massie.
