International Velvet Movie Review 1978

Why did they bother? This dismal and long overdue sequel to "National Velvet," finds the adult Velvet, with live-in companion (Plummer), grooming her orphaned niece (O'Neal) to become an Olympic champanion horsewoman. O'Neal's way out of her league although Plummer and Hopkins give good performances and the sentiment is kept at a trot.
