Marooned Movie Review 1969

Tense thriller casts Crenna, Hackman, and Franciscus as astronauts stranded in space after a retro-rocket misfires and their craft is unable to return to earth. Amazingly inept despite an Academy Award for effects and an excellent cast. Story bears a striking resemblance to 1995's "Apollo 13."
