Diffident teacher Johnny Smith (Walken) gains extraordinary psychic powers following a near-fatal car accident and a five-year coma. He has developed the ability to foresee a person's future by touching their hands--and when he shakes the hand of presidential candidate Greg Stillson (Sheen), he foresees a holocaust. So Johnny decides to use his "gift" to save mankind from impending evil. A good adaptation of the Stephen King thriller.
