A portrait of 19-year-old Janice Baldwin, who's forced to get an abortion by her parents and battles them constantly to establish her own identity. She is eventually sent to a mental institution for depression, where she is subjected to increasingly vigorous psychological interventions, including electro-shock. Documentary-style effort originally made for British TV.
