Against a background of civil war, Prince Hal, the heir to the throne, appears to waste his youth hanging around taverns in London with boisterous drunkard, Falstaff. The political tensions between the king and the rebels lead to the battle of Shrewsbury, at which time the Prince redeems himself. Part of the "Shakespeare Plays" series.
